We buy, refurbish, and resell tens of thousands of gaming machines that would otherwise be headed to landfills. When a machine has reached the end of its useful life, we don’t throw it away.
We take it apart, piece by piece, and route every recoverable material back into the global supply chain.

The casino floor moves fast. Operators refresh their lineups every few years to keep players engaged, and the machines that come out have historically had nowhere good to go. Many end up in dumpsters, shipping containers bound for foreign landfills, or warehouses where they slowly become someone else’s problem.
We built our company on the belief that there’s real value, both economic and environmental, still inside those machines. Our job is to recover it.
Reuse beats recycling.
Every time.
The most sustainable machine is the one that never has to be built. Every refurbished slot machine we ship is a machine the world didn’t have to manufacture from scratch. Our process avoids the newly manufactured cast aluminum, printed circuit boards, copper wiring, LCDs, and packaging that go into a new unit, along with the energy to assemble it and the fuel to ship it from overseas.
Refurbishment is by far the largest lever in our environmental program. Conservatively, every refurbished machine we put back into service avoids roughly 1.5 to 2.5 metric tons of CO2-equivalent emissions compared with the manufacture and delivery of a new unit. Across the thousands of machines we refurbish each year, the avoided footprint is many times larger than what we capture through metal recycling alone.
A new machine carries the full embedded carbon of mining, smelting, electronics manufacturing, and global shipping. A refurbished machine carries almost none of it. Refurbishment preserves the highest-value form of every material, and a working component is worth far more than the metal it can be melted back into. Every refurbished unit displaces demand for new manufacturing in some of the most carbon-intensive industries on the planet.

What we recycle.
Every year.
Even with refurbishment as our priority, some machines and components reach the end of their useful life. When they do, nothing is thrown away.
Each year, our facilities process and reclaim more than five million pounds of metal and electronic material that would otherwise enter the waste stream. Every pound is weighed, sorted, and routed to certified downstream processors, who return these materials to manufacturers as feedstock for new products: electronics, construction materials, automotive parts.

Measured impact.
Using U.S. Environmental Protection Agency greenhouse gas equivalency factors, that’s roughly equivalent to any one of the following each year:
- Taking approximately 2,500 passenger vehicles off the road for a full year.
- Avoiding approximately 1.3 million gallons of gasoline burned.
- Powering approximately 1,050 American homes for a year.
- Planting approximately 191,700 urban tree seedlings and letting them grow for 10 years.
- Preserving approximately 10,850 acres of U.S. forest from one year’s worth of CO2 emissions.
Recycling metal takes a fraction of the energy and emissions required to produce it from virgin ore. Recycled aluminum uses up to 95% less energy than new production. Recycled copper saves up to 85%. Recycled steel saves about 60%. This keeps material out of landfills. It also displaces some of the most carbon-intensive industrial processes in manufacturing.
Applying cradle-to-gate emission factors from the International Aluminium Institute, the U.S. EPA, and peer-reviewed life-cycle research, our annual scrap recovery prevents approximately 11,500 metric tons of CO2-equivalent emissions every year.
Where the impact comes from.
Not all metal is equal. Aluminum and copper, by weight, deliver the largest carbon benefit when recycled, and those happen to be two of the largest material categories inside a slot machine. Producing a single ton of virgin aluminum emits roughly 15 metric tons of CO2. Producing a ton of virgin copper emits between 2 and 9 metric tons, depending on ore grade and energy source. Every pound we recover keeps that energy and that carbon from being spent again.
What we’re working on next.
We’re not finished. A few things on our roadmap:
- Growing our refurbishment business, the highest-impact lever we have for keeping equipment in service and out of waste streams.
- Expanding partnerships with downstream processors who can certify chain of custody on recovered metals, so our customers and theirs can credit our materials against their own sustainability reporting.
- Improving component-level reuse so that more electronics, displays, and assemblies are recovered as working parts rather than scrap.
- Publishing our environmental data annually, because what gets measured gets managed.
A challenge to the industry.
The gaming equipment industry handles hundreds of thousands of machines a year globally. There is no industry-wide standard for end-of-life processing, no public reporting framework, and no shared accountability for what happens to a machine after its first deployment. We think there should be.

Methodology
Material weights are based on actual scrap tickets from facility operations and annualized from representative periods (sorted material recovery: 192,687 lbs over 70 days; mixed structural metal recovery: 1,703,000 lbs over 140 days). Annualized combined recovery is approximately 5.44 million pounds. CO2-equivalent calculations apply cradle-to-gate emission factors for primary metal production, comparing avoided virgin manufacturing against the lower-carbon footprint of recycled material processing.
Factors applied: primary aluminum, 14.8 MT CO2e/tonne, International Aluminium Institute, 2023; primary copper, approximately 4.5 MT CO2e/tonne, cradle-to-gate, mid-range of published LCA literature; primary steel, 1.85 MT CO2e/tonne; mixed electronics, approximately 1.2 MT CO2e/tonne. The mixed structural metal stream is calculated assuming an 85% steel / 15% aluminum composition by weight, consistent with typical slot machine chassis construction.
Based on recovered material weights, the calculation is approximately 11,460 MT CO2e avoided annually, rounded to 11,500 MT CO2e for public reporting. Equivalencies use U.S. Environmental Protection Agency greenhouse gas equivalency factors: passenger vehicle, 4.6 MT CO2/year; gasoline, 0.00889 MT CO2/gallon; U.S. home energy use, 10.97 MT CO2/year; urban tree seedling, approximately 0.060 MT CO2 sequestered over 10 years; U.S. forest acre, 1.06 MT CO2/year.
